CENTER-BASED SCHOOL PLACEMENT SERVICES
STRIVE’s Center-Based School Placement services provide assessment-driven educational and behavioral support for students whose needs require a more intensive or specialized setting than their current school placement. Services are delivered in STRIVE’s clinical center while maintaining close collaboration with the student’s home school district.
Services begin with a comprehensive or targeted assessment to identify each student’s behavioral, academic, and functional needs. Assessment results guide the development of individualized, data-driven goals and intervention plans that support skill acquisition, behavior regulation, and readiness for reintegration.
Center-Based School Placement services may include, but are not limited to:
Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Functional Analyses (FA), when appropriate
Development, implementation, and coaching of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
Academic, behavioral, and functional skill assessments
Skill acquisition and instructional programming
Environmental arrangement and antecedent-based strategies to support learning
Data collection systems and ongoing progress monitoring
Staff coaching and collaboration to support consistent implementation
STRIVE works collaboratively with IEP teams, school support teams, administrators, and families to ensure services align with educational goals and district expectations. The program is designed to be data-driven and goal-oriented, with a primary focus on supporting the student’s successful transition back to their home school and/or a less restrictive educational environment.
Center-Based School Placement services are funded through the school district and delivered under district agreements or contracts.
Services are provided by a multidisciplinary team, including special education teachers, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and trained Behavior Technicians/RBTs, ensuring both educational and behavioral needs are addressed within an integrated model.
