STRIVE Behavioral Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Cross Categorical K–12 Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of education, behavior, and collaboration.
Unlike traditional classroom roles, this position allows you to work in close partnership with surrounding public school districts while supporting students in a school placement program housed at STRIVE Behavioral Solutions. You will collaborate daily with behavior technicians providing 1:1 support and work closely with families to ensure a comprehensive, individualized approach to each student’s educational, emotional, and behavioral success.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs in a structured school placement setting.
  • Collaborate with public school districts to support educational goals and service coordination.
  • Oversee and support Behavior Technicians working 1:1 with students throughout the school day.
  • Partner closely with families and the clinical team to promote consistency and student progress.
  • Support a positive, structured learning environment grounded in evidence-based practices.
Experience & Requirements
  • Wisconsin Special Education License (Cross Categorical K–12) required.
  • Experience working with students of varying abilities preferred.
  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain attentive to student safety at all times.
  • Comfort with sustained physical activity and interactive engagement for 30–60 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to participate in school-based activities that may include running, sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 30–50 pounds.
