STRIVE’s Parent Training and Caregiver Support services provide consultative, evidence-based instruction and coaching to caregivers who support a child’s behavioral, communication, and daily living needs. These services are designed and supervised by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and focus on empowering caregivers with practical strategies to support skill development and behavior management across everyday environments.
This service may be appropriate when a child:
Does not currently meet criteria for center-based ABA therapy
Is on a waitlist for direct services
Is transitioning into or out of intensive ABA services
Requires caregiver support as a primary intervention at this time
Caregiver support is provided through assessment-informed consultation and may include guidance on behavior support strategies, communication development, skill acquisition, prevention strategies, and implementation of behavior support plans within the home, school, daycare, or community settings.
Services may be provided to parents, guardians, family members, school staff, daycare providers, or other caregivers who are actively involved in the child’s care, when clinically appropriate.
Parent Training and Caregiver Support services may be funded through health insurance or Medicaid when medical necessity criteria and authorization requirements are met, or may be accessed as a consultative service depending on individual circumstances and funding source. STRIVE works with families and referring parties to determine eligibility and appropriate service options.
